Riyadh Cement welcomed this morning a delegation from the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health and Esnad Company, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. The visit aimed to review the company’s implementation of occupational safety and health standards across its facilities.
The program began with an awareness session delivered by the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department, covering safety procedures, the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency evacuation plans. The delegation also reviewed the plant layout, which highlights operational areas, assembly points, and emergency routes. In addition, the company’s environmental and sustainability initiatives were presented, including the Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) Project and the Power Generation Plant Project.
The visit included a field tour of the company’s quarries to observe blasting control mechanisms, dust and emissions management, and the implementation of top safety standards in operational areas.
The delegation also visited the company’s nursery, where they were briefed on Riyadh Cement’s “One Million Trees” initiative. The team learned about the nursery’s seedling production and distribution process and its role in supporting local afforestation efforts.
At the end of the visit, the delegation commended Riyadh Cement for its strong commitment to occupational safety and health practices, its well-organized operations, and its environmental initiatives that reflect an advanced institutional understanding of the circular economy.
