As part of efforts to strengthen the convergence between the industrial and research sectors, and to emphasize the importance of integration in addressing challenges and developing sustainable solutions, Riyadh Cement Company welcomed a high-level delegation from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in a field visit reflecting the mutual interest in enhancing future collaboration between industry and research and development centers.

The visit program began with the reception of the delegation, where an introductory presentation about the company was delivered. The presentation highlighted the company’s founding history, the evolution of its operations, the locations of its plants, in addition to its strategic vision and approach to achieving sustainability and enhancing operational efficiency.

Subsequently, an extensive field tour was organized, covering the production lines, kilns, laboratories, and quarry sites, aiming to showcase the operational and technical capabilities adopted by the company in managing its operations.

The visiting delegation had the opportunity to observe the company’s efforts in quality control, environmental management, and continuous improvement, along with its adoption of best practices in cement manufacturing, reflecting Riyadh Cement’s commitment to sustainable development and its role in supporting the national economy.

The visit concluded with a friendly meeting and an exchange of views on possible cooperation opportunities and prospects for coordination between the two sides in future research and technological projects, contributing to the integration of knowledge and industry and serving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision
