Under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Riyadh Cement participated in the launch event of the National Tree Planting Season 2024, held in Riyadh. This participation is part of the company’s commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability and contributing actively to national initiatives. All participating entities were honored at the event in recognition of their valuable contributions.
The National Tree Planting Season aims to increase vegetation cover and combat desertification, in line with the National Afforestation Program, reinforcing the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve the goals of Vision 2030 towards a sustainable environment.
In this regard, Eng. Shoeil Al-Ayed, Member of the Board and CEO of Riyadh Cement, stated: “We are proud to participate in the launch of the National Tree Planting Season 2024, an event of great significance to everyone. This initiative aligns with the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to promote the Green Riyadh concept. We look forward to being key partners in this initiative. We are also proud of our two programs; the first focuses on afforesting areas within the plant, aiming to plant 4,000 trees. The second aims to produce one million trees from 2025 to 2030, as part of the Million Shrubs Project, reflecting our commitment to making a positive contribution to the surrounding community.”
